Lee Yeon Hee is looking back on her early days as a trainee—and sharing a few playful stories about Kim Hee Chul.
On the March 29th episode of SBS’s My Little Old Boy, the actress appeared as a guest and talked about her time training under SM Entertainment alongside the Super Junior member.
“I trained with Hee Chul back in the day,” she said.
When host Shin Dong Yup mentioned that Kim Hee Chul had a reputation for being unconventional at the time, Lee Yeon Hee laughed and added, “He definitely had his own unique taste… and he had a lot of girlfriends around him,” drawing laughter from the studio.
She also remembered him fondly, saying, “He was really talkative and fun. I was pretty shy and didn’t talk much, but he made me feel comfortable. He would take me out and even buy me meals.”
Looking at the mothers’ curiosity in her, host Seo Jang Hoon shared, “Since all the mothers seem interested in her, I should mention that she’s been married for seven years and is the mother of a 19-month-old,’ surprising the panel.
He also shared a funny anecdote about her relationship, revealing that her husband used to tell people they were dating before they got married—but no one believed him until they saw her in person.
Lee Yeon Hee also spoke about her friendship with Choi Ji Woo, revealing that the two often talk about parenting and balancing work and family. “We share a lot of concerns about raising kids while working,” she said. “Since we’re both raising daughters, she’s been so generous in passing things down. I’m really grateful.”
As for future plans, Lee Yeon Hee shared, “If I can, I’d love to have another child,” expressing her hopes for expanding her family.
