“Recently, malicious slander and baseless speculative posts about our artist, Jennie, have been circulating continuously on online communities and social media, damaging her reputation through the spread of false information,” OA Entertainment stated. “In addition to these inaccurate posts, there has been a rise in cases where the artist’s personal time is being interrupted or her movements are being followed. We are taking this situation very seriously.”
The agency signaled that the era of “letting it slide” is over, confirming that they are moving forward with aggressive legal measures.
“We are preparing legal action based on expert advice against any acts that infringe on the artist’s honor and rights,” the agency added. “We will take strong measures, including civil and criminal legal actions, against any violations of portrait rights, intellectual property, or privacy. There will be no leniency or settlements in this process.”
