Lee Chae Min has found his next project.
On February 12th, YTN Star reported that Lee Chae Min has confirmed his casting in the upcoming drama My Reason to Die, directed by Kim Hee Won. The series is based on a popular webtoon, with Lee set to play the male lead, Cha Gyeol.
My Reason to Die is a regression romance that follows high school senior Ji O, who is preparing for the national taekwondo team trials, and the mysterious Cha Gyeol. The original webtoon drew major popularity during its run for its delicate portrayal of the two leads’ emotional arc.
The new drama marks yet another project for Lee, who is also set to appear in The Miracles of the Namiya General Store, continuing his busy streak following last year’s hit Bon Appétit, Your Majesty.
That breakout series recorded a peak rating of 17.1% and helped cement his rising popularity. Lee went on to win Best New Actor at the 11th APAN Star Awards and was recently named a Visionary at the 2026 CJ ENM Visionary Awards.
Lee Chae Min made his debut in 2021 with the tvN drama High Class and has since appeared in Crash Course in Romance, See You in My 19th Life, and Hierarchy.
