
Kim Hye Yoon will take on the lead role in the upcoming Korean drama adaptation of the popular Japanese novel The Miracles of the Namiya General Store.
The series, based on Keigo Higashino’s bestselling work, is expected to run for about 10 episodes. Casting is still underway, and the production plans to release it on global streaming platforms. Reports also suggest that Lee Chae Min may join the cast.
The Miracles of the Namiya General Store tells the story of three robbers who hide in a store that connects the past and present. As they respond to letters seeking advice, they discover miraculous connections that change their own lives. The novel has been a long-time bestseller in South Korea and has been adapted into films in Japan and China, as well as a stage play in Korea in 2018.
Kim Hye Yoon first gained attention in SKY Castle and has since starred in hits like Extraordinary You, Secret Royal Inspector & Joy, Snowdropand Lovely Runner. She is currently in No Tail to Tell and is set to appear in Good Partner 2 later this year.
With this new project, she is expected to continue a busy year of acting.
