Cha Hyun Seung, the dancer-turned-actor who gained fame on Netflix’s Single’s Inferno Season 1, has made his return to the public eye after recovering from leukemia.
Cha attended the 2026 F/W Seoul Fashion Week at Dongdaemun Design Plaza on February 7th. This was his first official public appearance since announcing his full recovery. He looked healthier, sporting a short haircut and a chic all-black outfit, and had a confident presence.
After the event, Cha shared a photo with BTOBs’ LEE CHANGSUB, stating, “I was incredibly happy to receive such unexpected congratulations and support thanks to Changsub. Thank you.”

Cha, who became widely known as a charismatic dancer for K-pop star Sunmi and for his appearances on Physical: 100 and Single’s Inferno, shocked fans last September when he revealed he was battling leukemia. This diagnosis forced him to withdraw from a project he had been excited about, putting a stop to his acting career plans.
During the past six months, he has been open about his chemotherapy journey on his YouTube channel, which earned him a lot of support from fans.
Cha expressed his desire to return to work last month. “I want to work. Please reach out if there are any auditions or opportunities. I’ve rested enough,” he said.
However, he admitted the illness has taken a physical toll on him. “The ‘strong’ image I once had has faded after getting sick and undergoing chemotherapy. I was told I might not fit the character for a recent project because of that,” he explained. “It’s important for a character to match the image, so I understand.”
Cha also shared that he is still taking things slow physically. “Honestly, there are limitations right now. I can’t get tattoos, go diving or exercise intensely yet. I can only do light movements, so I plan to take it step by step and start with what I can handle.”
