Kim Seon Ho and Go Youn Jung recently looked back on their first on-screen kiss in Can This Love Be Translated? and even they couldn’t hide their admiration for the moment.

On January 24th, Netflix Korea released a reaction video on its official YouTube channel featuring the two stars of Can This Love Be Translated?. Watching the footage together, Kim Seon Ho and Go Youn Jung revisited their first kiss scene, filmed in Canada.

Seeing the scene again, both actors were struck by how unreal it looked. “It doesn’t feel real. It’s so beautiful. It looks like a painting,” they said, recalling how heavy fog initially threatened the shoot. “The trees in the lake weren’t even visible, and we thought we wouldn’t be able to film—but almost like magic, the haze suddenly cleared.”

Kim Seon Ho added that the atmosphere on set that day was just as perfect as the visuals. “The weather was great, and everyone was in a good mood. Only the camera team was actually standing in the water,” he said. Go Youn Jung laughed as she added, “I tried really hard to pretend like I didn’t notice any of that and just stay in character.”

Rewatching the kiss, Kim Seon Ho couldn’t help but exclaim, “Look at that shot,” before explaining his character’s emotional state. “Hojin already had feelings by then. It was that mix of attraction, confusion, and ‘What do I do now?’”

Go Youn Jung shared her own take on the romance between Hojin and Muhee. “They don’t meet that often, but they fall in love rather quickly,” she said. “Meeting someone while traveling, in a completely unfamiliar place, even if it’s just for a day, can feel incredibly special. It becomes the kind of connection you can’t forget.”
