Netflix has officially greenlit a new original series, The Dealer, unveiling a star-studded cast led by Jung So Min, Ryu Seung Beom, Lee Soo Hyuk, and Ryu Kyung Soo.
The Dealer is a high-stakes crime drama centered on Geon Hwa, a casino dealer who reactivates long-buried skills to survive the ruthless world of underground gambling after her wedding plans spiral into crisis.
Jung So Min stars as Jung Geon Hwa, an ace casino dealer known for her calm precision at the table. Far removed from nightlife and excess, Geon Hwa is forced back into the gambling underworld after being scammed while preparing her newlywed home, putting her marriage plans—and her life—on the line.
Ryu Seung Beom plays Hwang Chi Soo, a gambler scraping by on small-time hustles who ends up joining Geon Hwa’s risky plan. Known for his intense screen presence, Ryu is expected to bring volatile energy to the role.

Lee Soo Hyuk joins as Jo Jun, a cool-headed player who disrupts the casino ecosystem with his flawless poker face and elite skills, injecting fresh tension into the story. Ryu Kyung Soo takes on the role of Choi Woo Seung, Geon Hwa’s boyfriend and a violent crimes detective. Tender in private but relentless on the job, Woo Seung’s double life adds emotional and moral complexity to the narrative.
The series marks the directorial debut of Choi Young Hwan, a celebrated cinematographer whose work on films like Tazza: The High Rollers, Veteran, and The Thieves. Expectations are high for how he translates that style to a casino-set drama.
Adding to the buzz, The Dealer is produced by Firstman Studio, the company behind the global phenomenon Squid Game, with director Hwang Dong Hyuk participating as planner and executive producer.
The Dealer will be released exclusively on Netflix.
