The world’s most-subscribed YouTuber, MrBeast, has once again responded to a viral request from K-pop fans urging him to acquire agency ADOR in order to “save” the group NewJeans.
In a recent conversation with American streamer JasonTheWeen, MrBeast addressed the flood of comments from NewJeans’ international fandom, Bunnies, who have been calling on him to intervene amid the group’s ongoing legal dispute.
“They really want us to,” MrBeast admitted, referring to the social media comments urging him to buy ADOR and “save” NewJeans.
When asked whether he had any intention of buying ADOR or NewJeans to help member Danielle, who is facing a massive lawsuit, MrBeast pointed to the financial reality of such a move.
“The number I keep seeing is like $30 million,” he said. “It’s a lot of money. But if it makes sense, I guess if that’s what the internet needs, and that will help bring them back together. I mean, is that what they want?”
Jason then explained the fandom’s intent, suggesting the campaign was largely aimed at raising awareness. “I did some research. I think what, toki’s, that’s the name of their fan base, what they want is to spread awareness. Really, that’s like the main thing going on,” he said. MrBeast responded, “Okay, so they’re asking me to buy it as a joke to raise awareness.” Jason replied, “Not as a joke, but if you could, I think if you bought ADOR, that would maybe save Danielle.”
MrBeast went on to suggest a more practical alternative. “Alright, everyone. Help with the lawsuit. I mean, honestly, with how much reach they have, they should just start a GoFundMe and just raise all the money,” he said.
He added, “You know what he need to do? We need to bring one of their biggest fans on here to educate us.”
The “Save NewJeans” campaign began after ADOR filed a lawsuit seeking approximately 40 billion KRW (around $30 million USD) in damages against member Danielle. In response, international fans began flooding MrBeast’s TikTok and Instagram accounts with comments such as “#MrBeastSaveNewJeans,” “Please buy HYBE,” and “Bring Danielle to us,” hoping the philanthropist YouTuber could offer a solution.
On December 6, MrBeast expressed confusion over the barrage of comments, writing, “What do I need to do?” on a post explaining the situation.
Notably, the streamer JasonTheWeen, who spoke with MrBeast, has previously shown support for NewJeans. He has participated in livestreams with the group and has even visited HYBE’s headquarters to broadcast messages of support.
