Two years after the passing of Lee Sun Kyun, a short inscription engraved on his headstone has quietly come to light, and it is leaving many hearts heavy.

On January 5th, Yoon Hee Seok, a close friend of Lee Sun Kyun and a fellow alum of the Korea National University of Arts, visited the late actor’s grave to mark the second anniversary of his death. Yoon shared several photos on Instagram, alongside a brief but emotional message: “Already two years. I still miss you, and it still hurts.”

Even now, the late actor’s grave continues to receive visitors. Flowers, handwritten letters, and small keepsakes left by fans and loved ones fill the space, silently testifying to a grief that time has yet to soften.

What struck many most deeply was the headstone inscription revealed that day. Carved into the stone are the words: “Today, I miss everything… I love you.”

Lee Sun Kyun passed away on December 27th, 2023, at the age of 48. The news of his death sent shockwaves through the Korean entertainment industry and beyond. While time has passed, the sorrow surrounding his loss remains very much present. The single line etched on his grave stands as quiet proof of how deeply he touched the lives of those who knew him—and those who admired him from afar.

Meanwhile, messages of support continue to surround Lee Sun Kyun’s wife, actress Jeon Hye Jin. In March of last year, she returned to acting after more than a year away, earning praise for her performance in the drama Mother and Mom.
