The upcoming film Humint has officially locked in its release date for February 11th, 2026, strategically kicking off Korea’s Lunar New Year holiday season. Along with the announcement, the production unveiled two first-look posters and a launch teaser.
Directed by Ryoo Seung Wan, Humint tells the story of individuals with clashing agendas colliding in a high-stakes intelligence showdown. The film marks Ryoo’s latest project following his reputation for tightly paced, character-driven action.
The first poster centers on National Intelligence Service black ops agent Jo Gwa Jang, played by Zo In Sung, who is tracking the trail of an international crime syndicate. Surrounding him are North Korean Ministry of State Security leader Park Geon, portrayed by Park Jung Min; North Korea’s Vladivostok consul general Hwang Chi Seong, played by Park Hae Joon; and North Korean restaurant worker Chae Seon Hwa, portrayed by Shin Se Kyung. Even from a single image, the four-actor lineup hints at an intense, icy confrontation set against the backdrop of Vladivostok.

A second poster takes a different approach, presenting the four characters in a montage-style profile layout that teases the film’s focus on psychological tension and human drama. The tagline explains the title Humint, short for “human intelligence,” emphasizing intelligence-gathering through people rather than technology.
The newly released teaser offers a glimpse of the four characters in motion, paired with slick cinematic visuals, high-speed chases, and gunfire-filled action sequences—signaling a gripping theatrical experience.

Humint follows The Berlin File and Escape from Mogadishu as the third installment in Ryoo Seung Wan’s overseas-location trilogy. Filmed on location in Latvia, the production captures the distinctive atmosphere of Vladivostok while blending large-scale action with intimate character conflicts.
With its star-studded cast and Ryoo’s signature style, Humint is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated Korean releases of early 2026.
