Seo Ye Ji is back in the spotlight with a noticeably transformed look.
The actress recently shared new photos on her Instagram, posing in front of a Christmas tree. In the images, Seo Ye Ji wears a beige cap pulled low and a gray-toned oversized knit, giving off an effortlessly comfortable vibe. Her bright smile and softened features stand out in particular, drawing attention for how different—and more mature—her overall impression feels.
Seo is currently reviewing an offer to star in the upcoming drama Forest of Humans (literal title), based on the webtoon of the same name. If she accepts, it would mark her return to television for the first time in four years, following her 2022 appearance in tvN’s Eve.
After successfully wrapping up tvN’s It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, which she starred in alongside Kim Soo Hyun, Seo enjoyed the peak of her career. However, in 2021, public sentiment shifted after she became embroiled in controversy involving allegations of gaslighting actor Kim Jung Hyun. Although she went on to appear in Eve the following year, additional accusations related to school bullying and academic record falsification surfaced, leading her to step back from activities for roughly three years.
Earlier this April, Seo addressed her state of mind during appearances on SNL Korea and Heo Young Man’s Food Travel, sharing candidly, “As I stayed quiet, more and more people misunderstood things far beyond what I ever imagined, and over time, it became an overwhelming source of stress.”
Now, with her calm smile and renewed presence, Seo Ye Ji appears ready to slowly step back into the public eye.
