Yeo first broke the news of his upcoming enlistment in October through a handwritten letter to fans during his 20th-anniversary debut fan meeting tour.
“The time is approaching for me to leave your side for a brief moment and undergo new experiences,” he wrote in the letter. “I will return as a stronger and more mature person during our time apart.”
Last month, his agency requested privacy for the enlistment day, stating, “We will not be disclosing the specific time or location since the enlistment ceremony is a private event shared by many soldiers and their families. We politely ask fans to refrain from visiting the site.”
The agency added, “We are always grateful for the love and interest shown to Yeo Jin Goo. We ask for your unwavering support and encouragement until the day he completes his national defense duties in good health and returns even more mature.”
Prior to his enlistment, Yeo Jin Goo starred in the TVING variety show The Great Escape: The Story and connecting with global fans through his fan meeting tour.
