SBS’s upcoming Friday–Saturday drama No Tail to Tell has locked in its premiere date—and the excitement is already building. On December 9th, the team confirmed a January launch and shared photos from the read-through, instantly ramping up anticipation.
The series is a fantasy rom-com about an GenZ gumiho who refuses to become human and a self-obsessed man whose life flips overnight. Kim Hye Yoon stars as Eun Ho, a gumiho who’s tried everything except dating, while Lomon plays Kang Si Yeol, a superstar soccer player whose destiny takes a sudden turn. Their “hate-to-love” dynamic sets the stage for a quirky, irresistible romance.
Directed by Kim Jung Kwon (Maestra: Strings of Truth, Love to Hate You) and written by Park Chan Young and Jo Ah Young (Best Chicken), the drama is produced by Binge Works, the studio behind imaginative hits like My Demon, Today’s Webtoon, and Mr. Queen.
At the table read, Kim Hye Yoon, Lomon, Lee Si Woo, Jang Dong Ju, Choi Seung Yoon, In Gyo Jin, Lee Seung Jun, and Hong Soo Hyun filled the room with energy.

Kim Hye Yoon brings a sharp, lovable edge to Eun Ho, crafting a fresh take on the 2026 gumiho. Lomon, meanwhile, disappears smoothly into Kang Si Yeol, capturing the character’s emotional swings as his perfect life unravels.
Lee Si Woo adds mystery as Geum Ho, while Jang Dong Ju anchors the story as Hyun Woo Seok, a soccer player living the opposite life of Kang Si Yeol. Choi Seung Yoon heightens the tension as Lee Yoon, the fourth-generation heir of Keumsu Group and Eun Ho’s VIP client.
“We’ve seen many gumiho stories over the years,” the producers said, “but this one brings a completely new world and twist to the myth. Kim Hye Yoon and Lomon’s chemistry will make the wait more than worth it.”
No Tail to Tell premieres January 16th, 2026, at 9:50 PM KST on SBS.
