Disney Plus’s upcoming original series Made in Korea is generating major buzz, first with Hyun Bin’s teaser released a day earlier—and now featuring Jung Woo Sung.

Set in 1970s Korea—a turbulent era marked by disorder and ambition—the series follows Baek Ki Tae (Hyun Bin), a man determined to turn the nation itself into his profit machine as he climbs toward power, and Jang Gun Young (Jung Woo Sung), the prosecutor driven by a frightening level of obsession as he pursues him to the brink.

Jung Woo Sung, known for commanding turns in 12.12: The Day, the Steel Rain series, Innocent Witness, and The Hunt, now transforms into a prosecutor with the Busan District Prosecutors’ Office. Jang Gun Young fought his way up alone from harsh circumstances, hiding a dangerous fixation behind a booming laugh—one that intensifies as he investigates Baek Ki Tae and stumbles upon a massive criminal cartel.

The newly unveiled poster captures Jung Woo Sung standing alone on a dim, deserted street, bathed in red light. Paired with the copy, “Deliver me from the Power of the Dogs,” his steely expression hints at a man who will use any means necessary to uphold his own principles.

The accompanying character teaser amplifies that intensity with stark black-and-white contrast. His line, “If you want to take me on, you’d better be ready,” immediately establishes Jang Gun Young as someone who never backs down. Another line—“I’ve got a lot of anger… it’s basically what fuels my life”—lays bare the fury and madness driving him, painting a portrait of a man who clamps down and never lets go. His reckless single-mindedness positions him as the perfect counterforce to Baek Ki Tae’s lust for power, blurring the line between justice and corruption.

Made in Korea will premiere exclusively on Disney+ with two episodes on December 24th, two on December 31st, one on January 7th, and one on January 14th—for a total of six episodes.
