BLINKs will have to wait just a little longer for a full group comeback. BLACKPINK has reportedly postponed their anticipated new album from its rumored December release to January 2026.
According to a report from Star Today on November 6th, the decision was made to further polish the music and to accommodate a new world tour schedule being planned for next year.
>> YG Entertainment Responds to BLACKPINK December Comeback Rumors
This news comes after weeks of speculation. When rumors of a mid-December comeback first surfaced, the group’s agency, YG Entertainment, gave a classic vague response: “Nothing has been confirmed.” However, they did fuel the rumors by confirming, “We have filmed the music video for the new song. It is the final stage to enhance the album’s completeness,” signaling that a return was imminent.
This new album will be the group’s first full-length studio album since BORN PINK in September 2022.
The upcoming comeback is especially meaningful as the group will celebrate its 10th anniversary in August 2026. While the members have been focusing on their massively successful solo careers, they are also currently on their ‘BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR ‘DEADLINE’’, which included a historic headlining show at London’s Wembley Stadium in August.
