
Jeon Jong Seo is preparing to return to the occult genre.
According to OSEN on November 3rd, the actress has been offered a leading role in the upcoming film The Rock (literal title) and is currently in positive discussions to join the project.
Her agency also confirmed the news, stating, “It’s true that Jeon Jong Seo has received the script for ‘The Rock,’ and she is reviewing the offer favorably.”
The film will be produced by Cinematic Moment, with Fine Town Production serving as co-producer. Direction comes from Lee Deok Chan, who previously worked in the production team of No Tears for the Dead and went on to helm short films such as The Intro of Summer and Leo.
Most notably, Exhuma director Jang Jae Hyun will take part as both screenwriter and co-producer, expanding what’s being called his signature “Jang Jae Hyun Occult Universe.”
Jeon Jong Seo made her feature debut in 2018 with the critically acclaimed Burning and has since delivered standout performances across genres in The Call, Nothing Serious, and Ballerina, as well as in dramas like Bargain, Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area, Queen Woo, and Wedding Impossible. This year, she’s set to appear alongside Han So Hee in the film Project Y.
