Choi Kang Hee recently shared a touching, heartfelt memory of her late co-star and friend, Lee Sun Kyun.
The actress uploaded a new video to her YouTube channel on October 29th documenting a spontaneous weekend getaway to the 30th Busan International Film Festival.
Arriving at a cinema at 3 AM after an all-nighter, she began recalling her past festival experiences. She was asked about her most memorable festival after sharing a photo from her first BIFF in 2004.
She cited the 2010 event. “It was the Busan International Film Festival I attended with the late Lee Sun Kyun,” she recalled, noting she had worn a vintage dress.
Choi Kang Hee and Lee Sun Kyun had starred together in two popular projects: the 2008 drama My Sweet Seoul and the 2010 romantic comedy film Petty Romance.
In the video, she explained, “Because we did two projects together…” but then trailed off, pausing for a moment as she appeared to be lost in thought. The video’s editor then played gentle background music, respectfully conveying a sense of longing for her deceased colleague.
