Netflix has unveiled the main poster and trailer for its upcoming series As You Stood By, a suspense-driven thriller about two women pushed to the edge of survival.
The series follows two women who make a fateful decision to kill in order to escape a life that leaves them with no other choice. But their desperate pact soon pulls them into a spiral of shocking, unforeseen events.
The newly revealed poster captures Jeon So Nee as Jo Eun Soo, wide-eyed with fear, and Lee Yoo Mi as Jo Hee Soo, her face marked with bruises and scars—hinting at the hellish reality they endure. Standing opposite them are Jang Seung Jo as Hee Soo’s cold, menacing husband Noh Jin Pyo, and Lee Moo Saeng as the mysterious Jin So Baek, whose piercing gaze suggests hidden motives.
The trailer begins with snapshots of seemingly ordinary lives—Eun Soo working diligently in a department store, Hee Soo lovingly preparing juice for her husband, and Jin Pyo affectionately gifting her a necklace. But the calm façade soon shatters, revealing the torment that both women hide behind their smiles.
Haunted by past trauma, Eun Soo is horrified when she discovers the extent of Hee Soo’s suffering. In a chilling turn, she proposes, “Let’s kill your husband.” Her plea—“If you don’t do something, that man will kill you”—and Hee Soo’s resigned response, “I have to end it,” set the stage for a tense battle.
As Jin Pyo’s violence erupts behind his charming mask, Jin So Baek circles the two women with an ominous warning: “Those memories will always come back to haunt you.” The suspense peaks when a navigation voice coldly intones, “You have gone off route,” as Eun Soo and Hee Soo speed down a coastal road—two women desperate to reclaim their freedom.
As You Stood By premieres exclusively on Netflix on November 7th.
