The fallout from Disney Plus’ upcoming series Delusion, starring Suzy and Kim Seon Ho, has reached its conclusion: the production has been fined for illegal waste disposal during filming in Jeju.

On September 17th, Jeju’s Aewol-eup office confirmed that it is imposing a 1 million KRW (approx. 730 USD) fine on the production, citing Article 68 of the Waste Management Act.

Officials noted that while propane canisters were among the items left behind, no evidence of open flames or fire-setting was found. They clarified that possession of flammable materials is only restricted during official wildfire-prevention periods, so additional penalties were not applied.

The controversy first broke earlier this month when social media posts alleged that the Delusion crew left trash—including discarded props and fan-sent items—at a Jeju forest location. At the time, the production apologized, saying the late-night shoot led to lapses in cleanup but confirmed the site was later fully restored.

Meanwhile, Delusion, which pairs Suzy with Kim Seon Ho, is set to stream on Disney Plus later this year.
