On-set controversies keep piling up, and the latest target is Disney Plus’ Delusion with Suzy and Kim Seon Ho.
The issue surfaced when one Instagram account posted a video showing piles of garbage abandoned in a forest in Jeju. The clip revealed discarded items left behind at a filming site, including fan-sent coffee truck cup holders bearing the names of the cast. The post read: “They filmed a drama here and just left the trash in the forest… even the coffee holders fans sent. Do the fans even know?” The user added in frustration: “They just left everything like this… I really don’t know what to say.”
The footage further showed butane gas canisters among the litter, raising additional concerns. Other commenters chimed in: “What drama is this? They went too far,” and “I saw them filming early Sunday morning—this is how they left it?”

Online sleuths quickly identified the project as Delusion after spotting the customized cup holders in the trash.
Set in 1935 Gyeongseong (colonial-era Seoul), Delusion follows painter Yoon Yi Ho (Kim Seon Ho), who is commissioned to paint the portrait of enigmatic hotel owner Song Jeong Hwa (Suzy). As he works on the portrait, Yi Ho becomes entangled in the mysteries surrounding Jeong Hwa, a woman shrouded in decades of rumors and secrecy.
The series marks the latest project from director Han Jae Rim, whose credits include films The Face Reader, The King, and Emergency Declaration.
Suzy stars as Song Jeong Hwa, the reclusive hotel owner who has remained hidden from the public for over half a century, fueling endless speculation. Kim Seon Ho plays Yoon Yi Ho, the painter drawn into her haunting world.
The production company behind Delusion has issued a formal apology after being criticized for leaving trash at a filming location.
On August 28th, Showbox explained to Daily Sports, “Filming ran late into the night, and because it was dark, we weren’t able to properly tidy up the location.” They continued, “As soon as we realized the situation, we apologized to the local authorities and immediately cleaned everything up.”
The representative added, “The area has now been completely cleared. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by not taking care of the set properly. We’ll make sure to be more thorough and careful in the future.”
