No Other Choice, an official competition selection at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival and the opening film of the 30th Busan International Film Festival, has confirmed its theatrical release for September 24th and unveiled its main trailer.

The film follows Man Soo (Lee Byung Hun), a once-content salaryman whose life unravels after an unexpected layoff. With a wife and two children to support and a hard-earned home at risk, Man Soo embarks on a desperate and relentless battle to find new employment.

The newly released trailer opens with a tense glimpse of Man Soo in a job interview, his anxiety palpable. When detectives reveal that two fellow applicants have gone missing, Man Soo quips, “If I disappear, I’ll let you know right away,” a darkly humorous line that heightens the story’s irony and dread.

Alongside him, his wife Mi Ri (Son Ye Jin) responds to their crisis with calm rationality, signaling the start of the family’s fight for survival. The tagline “Four people, one job” flashes on screen, as rivals—including Beom Mo (Lee Sung Min), Si Jo (Cha Seung Won), and Seon Chul (Park Hee Soon)—emerge, escalating the tension.

As the competition intensifies, Man Soo is pushed into increasingly extreme situations, and the trailer teases shocking turns and fierce confrontations. A particularly brutal fight scene involving Man Soo, Beom Mo, and Beom Mo’s wife Ah Ra (Yeom Hye Ran) serves as the trailer’s climax, hinting at the tangled motives and desperate measures each character will take.

No Other Choice opens in Korean theaters on September 24th.
