Jung Woo Sung has reportedly married his long-term girlfriend, just nine months after it was revealed he had fathered a child out of wedlock with model Moon Ga Bi.
On Tuesday, the Korean news outlet MyDaily first reported the news, citing a source close to the actor who claimed, “Jung Woo Sung and his girlfriend recently registered their marriage.”
When asked for comment, Jung’s management agency, Artist Company, stated, “We are in the process of confirming the facts.” However, another source close to the star suggested that an official confirmation might be difficult, noting, “That falls under his private life.”
This development comes after a turbulent year for the actor. Last November, it was confirmed that Jung was the biological father of a baby boy born to model Moon Ga Bi. The model had announced the birth of her son on social media in March 2023, but the father’s identity was not disclosed until months later.
At the time, Jung Woo Sung addressed the situation through his agency, stating, “The child revealed by Moon Ga Bi on her social media is indeed my biological son.” He added, “We are currently discussing the best way to raise the child, and as a father, I will do my absolute best for him.”
Jung also made a personal, public apology at the prestigious Blue Dragon Film Awards later that month. “I sincerely apologize to everyone who has shown me love and support for causing concern and disappointment,” he said to the audience. “I will accept all criticism and, as a father, I will fulfill my responsibility to my son until the end.”
With this new report of his marriage to his non-celebrity girlfriend, the public is now eagerly awaiting an official statement from the actor.
