BTS’s Jungkook had fans reaching for tissues right along with him after getting unexpectedly emotional during a livestream.

On Monday, Jungkook spent time with fans, watching the current No.1 film on Netflix Korea, the animated fantasy KPop Demon Hunters.

But it seems the movie’s ending hit a little too hard. Jungkook couldn’t hold back tears as Jinu sacrifices himself to protect Rumi by blocking the demon’s energy with his own body, fading away in the process. Wiping his tears, Jungkook blurted, “You fool… You could’ve just fought together, why are you shielding her with your back? If you got your soul back, live your life. What are you doing?”

“I cried at the end,” Jungkook admitted, a little embarrassed after the movie ended. “Right when Rumi shouted ‘I’ll create my own soul‑gate!’ and ran into the arena, my tears just started falling. It really got to me,” adding shyly “These days, I tear up whenever something hits me.” Jungkook may have bulked up during his military service, but fans are loving this softer side.

He didn’t stop there—he also belted out a live rendition of “Soda Pop,” the in-universe hit by the fictional idol group Saja Boys, fully immersing himself in the world of KPop Demon Hunters.

Fans couldn’t get enough. Comments flooded social media: “He’s so cute when he gets like this,” “Now I HAVE to watch the movie,” “Is it too much to hope for a BTS x KDemon collab now?” and “He cried watching the Korean dub! Cutest thing ever.”

Meanwhile, BTS has officially confirmed their full-group comeback for spring 2026. All members are set to head to the U.S. this July for music production and stage preparation. Most of the group has already gathered in the States, reportedly kicking off early work on the new album.
