The trailer for Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming original series Butterfly has been released, drawing major attention for its unexpected lineup of Korean actors.
On July 15th, Prime Video unveiled the official trailer on its social media channels. The series follows Rebecca (played by Reina Hardesty), a young woman ordered to assassinate a former intelligence agent. Her mission takes a dramatic turn when the target turns out to be her estranged father, David Jung, played by Daniel Dae Kim.
As the father and daughter reconnect, their fragile reunion is interrupted by the sudden appearance of a mysterious man, portrayed by Kim Ji Hoon, who tries to take David’s life.
The trailer also teases brief appearances by Park Hae Soo and Kim Tae Hee, adding to the buzz surrounding the show’s global casting.
Butterfly, based on the graphic novel of the same name, is set to premiere on August 13th. Daniel Dae Kim also serves as a producer.
