Lee Min Ho has shared the heartbreaking news that his beloved dog, Choco, has passed away after 16 cherished years together.
On July 12th, the actor took to social media to announce Choco’s passing.
“My beloved Choco has returned to nature’s embrace after completing the 16 years given to him,” he wrote. “I hope the time we spent together was filled with happiness. I’ll always be grateful for the love you gave.”
Alongside his message, Lee Min Ho posted a video of himself asleep in a car, gently cradling Choco in his arms. He also included touching photos of their memories together.

Fans quickly flooded the comments with messages of comfort, writing things like, “Choco, please keep watching over Min Ho,” “I hope you crossed the rainbow bridge peacefully,” and “Wishing healing for Min Ho’s heart.”
Meanwhile, Lee Min Ho is set to appear in the upcoming film Omniscient Reader: The Prophet, premiering on July 23rd. The fantasy action movie follows Kim Dok Ja (played by Ahn Hyo Seop), the only person who’s read a web novel that ran for over a decade. When the novel’s world suddenly becomes reality on the day it ends, he must survive in the apocalyptic chaos alongside the story’s original protagonist, Yoo Joong Hyuk (played by Lee Min Ho) and a band of unexpected allies.
