Sixteen artists and producers from HYBE Labels have been invited to join the Recording Academy as new voting members, further cementing K-pop’s growing influence on the global music stage.

On July 9th (local time), the Academy extended invitations to a star-studded roster of HYBE talent including Bumzu, Zico, SEVENTEEN’s Woozi and Vernon, TXT’s Yeonjun, ENHYPEN’s Jungwon, and LE SSERAFIM’s Huh Yunjin. Members of KATSEYE—Daniela, Lara, Manon, Megan, Sophia, and Yoonchae—were also included, along with powerhouse producers Slow Rabbit, Supreme Boi, and Wonderkid.

Founded in 1957, the Recording Academy is the prestigious body behind the GRAMMY Awards. Voting members are eligible to participate in selecting GRAMMY winners, with the new members officially receiving voting rights starting with the 68th GRAMMYs on February 1st, 2026.

The invitees from HYBE have helped shape the sound of modern K-pop through their creative contributions. Bumzu, who debuted as a singer-songwriter, has penned numerous hits for SEVENTEEN and swept major categories in Korea’s Copyright Awards. Zico, a rapper-producer known for tracks like “SPOT!” (feat. JENNIE) and “Any Song,” has consistently topped charts.

Woozi and Vernon continue to lead SEVENTEEN’s musical direction while also collaborating with global artists, with over 200 and 100 works registered under their names. Yeonjun has contributed heavily to TXT’s discography, while as ENHYPEN’s leader, Jungwon has played a key role in the group’s rise to K-pop’s top tier. Huh Yunjin, who co-produced LE SSERAFIM’s “No Celestial,” has been actively involved in writing and composing for the group.

KATSEYE, produced through HYBE’s U.S.-style K-pop development system led by Chairman Bang Si Hyuk, debuted to immediate buzz and recently hit No. 4 on the Billboard 200 (July 12th chart) with their second EP Beautiful Chaos. Tracks like “Gabriela” and “Gnarly” even broke into the Hot 100.

Behind the scenes, Slow Rabbit, Supreme Boi, and Wonderkid have shaped the sound of BTS, TXT, ENHYPEN, &TEAM, ILLIT, and KATSEYE. Their hits include BTS’s “DNA,” “IDOL,” and “MIC Drop (Steve Aoki Remix),” J-Hope’s “Chicken Noodle Soup” (feat. Becky G), Jimin’s “Set Me Free Pt.2,” and LE SSERAFIM’s “EASY.”

With Chairman Bang Si Hyuk, all seven BTS members, and producer Pdogg already part of the Academy, HYBE’s growing member count reflects its ever-expanding impact on the global music scene.
