HYBE is expanding its global reach with a new Latin boy group project.
HYBE Latin America announced today that SANTOS BRAVOS, a reality series to form a new boy group in Mexico, will premiere in August.
The show will feature 16 contestants from diverse backgrounds, including Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Venezuela, Argentina, Peru, Spain and the United States, who all successfully passed the initial audition phase.
These aspiring artists will enter a customized training camp for intensive instruction in musicality, emotional expression and stage presence. The series will follow their journey as they develop their skills, with the final five members being selected to form the new group. Teaser videos and photos have already been released, showcasing the unique talents embarking on their dreams with the guidance of global mentors.

SANTOS BRAVOS is the first project to bring HYBE’s renowned artist discovery and development system to Latin America. The initiative, designed by HYBE Chairman Bang Si Hyuk, aims to cultivate the next generation of global artists.
“Our goal isn’t just to create a new group,” said Chairman Bang. “We want to help young Latin artists experience a genuine artistic and personal transformation.”
A team of accomplished experts has been assembled for the project. Kenny Ortega, the acclaimed director of Disney’s “High School Musical” franchise, will serve as the Creative Director, overseeing the global project.
Hit-making Israeli composer Johnny Goldstein, who has collaborated with stars like Shakira, BTS’s J-Hope, and ENHYPEN, will be the head music producer. Vocal coach Ra’ab Stevenson will be in charge of the contestants’ vocal training, while Colombian creator Jaime Escallon will serve as the project’s Executive Producer.
In addition to SANTOS BRAVOS, HYBE Latin America is also working on another initiative. They have partnered with the Spanish-language broadcaster Telemundo to launch Pase a la Fama, an audition program to select a new band.
