This morning, So Ji Sub’s agency 51k confirmed to Xportsnews that he is “currently reviewing the offer” to star in the upcoming drama Manager Kim (literal title).
The series, based on the popular webtoon of the same name, reportedly centers around a former special agent-turned-office worker who becomes a fiercely protective “girl dad.” So Ji Sub has been offered the lead role of Manager Kim—a devoted father with a dangerous past.
Meanwhile, So Ji Sub recently made his return to the action genre after 13 years through Netflix’s Mercy for None. The series recorded 7.6 million views in its second week and entered the global top 10 lists in 75 countries, further cementing the actor’s international appeal.
With Mercy for None drawing critical acclaim and fan excitement, anticipation is now building around So Ji Sub’s next move.
