BTS members V and RM have officially completed their military service.

On June 10th, a discharge ceremony for BTS’s RM and V was held at the Sports Park in Sinbuk, Gangwon Province.

RM made a memorable entrance by performing a trumpet piece. He expressed his joy, saying, “I’ve finally been discharged.”

He added, “I had one of the shortest possible terms and was fortunate to serve under good conditions. During my time in the military, I truly came to appreciate how many people are out there protecting our country. It’s thanks to their service that we’re able to live freely and keep doing what we love. I also grew closer to my father and friends who had served before me.”

He went on, “I do worry about the younger soldiers still serving. I hope they hang in there a little longer and make it back safely. And to ARMY — thank you so much for waiting. I’m ready to return as BTS’s RM and give it everything I’ve got.”

When asked what he wanted to do after discharge, RM said, “I think V would agree with me — we want to perform on stage again. I’ll work hard on the album and return.”

V shared, “Joining the military gave me a chance to reflect and reset both my body and mind.” He added, “I’ve rebuilt myself, inside and out, and now I just want to run back to ARMY as soon as I can.”

He continued, “I’m truly grateful to ARMY for waiting. I want to sincerely say thank you again. Please wait just a little longer — we’ll return with amazing performances.”

V also expressed his hopes for those still serving, saying, “There are still officers and fellow soldiers who supported our performances. I hope they stay safe during training and complete their service without injury.”

Meanwhile, V posted photos and videos taken with actor Song Kang on June 9th ahead of his discharge.
