Love in The Big City star Nam Yoon Su, who is gearing up for his new role in Killing Time, is at the center of controversy after posting an extremely pornographic photo to his Instagram My Story claiming he “accidentally shared it” in an apology to fans.
On April 13th, Nam Yoon Su re-shared what appeared to be a brand called LUREVIBE’s blow up doll depicting the lower half of a woman’s privates that was surrounded by sex toys. In an attempt to assess the situation and provide damage control, Nam Yoon Su’s agency, Garten, responded, saying, “This happened while his phone was in his pocket. If he had pressed it while looking at it, he would have apologized, but it seems that he accidentally pressed it while his phone was in his pocket. Nam Yoon Su and the company found out about it through fan reports, and the post was deleted not long after it was reposted. If he had reposted it by accident, wouldn’t he have deleted it immediately?”
Nam Yoon Su also shared a photo of his KakaoTalk chat, which showed a photo of him driving and comments saying “What is that weird post?” and “How could this happen? Was it hacked or some sort of malware?”
His agency further defended him, stating, “Nam Yoon Su said he was not aware it had happened and that his phone was in his pocket. This incident happened all inside his pocket. Upon checking his Instagram, the photo had been up for approximately 20 to 30 minutes, so he was shocked and deleted the post. He considered it a passing incident, however, the photos were circulated to many places and reports were made, so we felt we had to release an official statement.”
Still, fans have their doubts and wondered how such a racy 19+ photo could have been accidentally shared. Netizens left comments saying, “It takes a lot of steps to repost something onto someone’s personal My Story,” “What is wrong with his algorithm to suggest that?,” “His ‘for you page’ must be something else,” and “This is like Park Sung Hoon all over again.”

Nam Yoon Su also addressed the controversy head-on and apologized through his Instagram story with a black image saying, “Hello. This is actor Nam Yoon Su. Today, I belatedly realized that an unpleasant post was reposted without my knowledge. I sincerely apologize and feel upset to have caused discomfort to many people. I will take greater care in the future.”
