Choi Hyun Wook is set for yet another transformation in his rapidly evolving career.

According to OSEN, Choi has been cast in the upcoming drama Delusion (literal title), joining the already-announced stars Suzy and Kim Seon Ho in what promises to be one of the year’s most anticipated series.

Delusion is based on a popular webtoon of the same name that ran from 2019 to 2020. The fantasy mystery period drama is set during the Japanese colonial era and follows the strange relationship between a mesmerizing vampire woman and an unknown painter commissioned to create her portrait. Suzy has been previously announced to play the mysterious woman, while Kim Seon Ho will take on the role of the struggling artist.

Han Jae Rim, the acclaimed director behind films The Face Reader and Emergency Declaration, will helm the project. This marks his second venture into television drama following last year’s Netflix series The 8 Show.

Sources reveal that Choi has been cast in a significant role, though specific details about his character remain under wraps. Industry insiders are already buzzing about this casting news, given Choi’s consistent ability to captivate viewers with his distinctive performances across various genres.

Choi recently wrapped up tvN’s romantic comedy My Dearest Nemesis, which concluded on March 24th. The series was a success, with Choi and co-star Moon Ga Young creating swoon-worthy chemistry.
