Lee Min Jung and Lee Byung Hun just shared childhood footage of their son for the first time. On April 2nd, a video titled “‘I Want to Be on YouTube’—Minjung and Byung Hun’s 10-Year-Old Son Revealed for the First Time” went up on Lee Min Jung’s YouTube channel.
Lee Min Jung spends time with her son, Joon Hoo, in the video. During their outing, Joon Hoo said, “I wish my friends were here too.” Lee responded with a playful smile, “If they were in the car with us, we wouldn’t have been able to film this. Do you think they would have even heard me over my shouts of ‘Be quiet!’?” Her witty comment made Joon Hoo smile.
When asked to introduce himself, Joon Hoo casually recited his full home address, leaving Lee Min Jung flustered. He went on to say, “I liked basketball and I had a phone,” mentioning that he had been playing for about a year and a half. When asked if he wanted to go pro, he shrugged, “I wasn’t sure yet.” Lee commented, “I wanted to praise him a lot, but there was a big difference between when he focused and when he didn’t. I hoped he would improve his concentration.”
When the production team asked, “Doesn’t your mom keep you off-camera even though she runs a YouTube channel?” Joon Hoo, unaware that only the back of his head appeared in previous videos, said, “No, she lets me be on it.” Lee then explained, “Whether you’re known to the public or not isn’t something I can decide. That’s not your job.” Hearing this, Joon Hoo asked, “Then what about Rael?” Lee replied, “She chose to be on camera.” Not missing a beat, Joon Hoo says, “Well, I want to be on camera too,” leaving Lee with a playful sigh.
When asked if his friends at school knew his parents were famous, Joon Hoo nodded, “Yeah, they know. Way too well, actually. They all recognize my dad, and sometimes my mom too.” He added, “I was pretty happy when Mom said she was starting YouTube,” and even threw in a cheerful “Like and subscribe!” for the viewers.
Later, Lee Min Jung texted the production team, “How about we toss in a couple of Joon Hoo’s baby clips to make him happy since he wants to show his face?” Sure enough, they included a sweet throwback of Joon Hoo at two years old.
