MC Mong has fired a direct shot at SM Entertainment.

On the morning of the 5th, MC Mong posted a lengthy message on his Instagram. He wrote, “Someone who has never made music is serving as the A&R director, and an ignorant manager is acting as CEO while behaving like a ruffian. Your ignorance and greed have crossed the line, and eventually only you will remain. I promise you that.”

The rapper continued, referring to SM’s CEO Lee Sung Soo, “Mr. Lee. You told me that you wanted to protect them from incomprehensible actions like what your uncle was doing, like blocking TV appearances. You’re worse than a snake. It gives me chills to see you criticizing your uncle while stealing and learning everything from him, only to do even worse.” He concluded with a threat: “I have evidence and recordings too. Should I expose it all? I’m considering it.”

MC Mong’s pointed criticism of SM comes after INB100, EXO Xiumin’s agency, released an official statement the previous day: “Recently, KBS unofficially informed us that it would be impossible for Xiumin to appear simultaneously on programs where SM artists appear, including ‘Music Bank’.” INB100 is a label under One Hundred Label, co-founded by MC Mong and Chairman Cha Ga Won.

With Xiumin’s first solo album in two years and six months dropping on the 10th, INB100 stated that “KBS remained unresponsive” to their attempts to arrange appearances on music shows and ultimately informed them that Xiumin could not appear alongside SM artists.

The agency concluded, “If these unfair circumstances continue, our artists will repeatedly find themselves unable to participate in music broadcasts whenever SM artists are promoting. We believe it is highly unjust for KBS, a public broadcasting network, to make decisions that solely reflect the stance of a specific company.”
