Netflix has locked in a March 21st global release date for Revelations, the latest psychological thriller from acclaimed Korean director Yeon Sang Ho, with Oscar winner Alfonso Cuarón serving as executive producer.
The film follows the intersecting paths of a pastor who believes he’s received divine revelation about a criminal, and a detective haunted by visions of her dead sister as they investigate a disappearance case. The project marks a collaboration between director Yeon, known for pushing narrative boundaries, and writer Choi Gyu Seok, with Roma and Gravity maestro Cuarón adding his creative weight to the production.
The main poster showcases the film’s central trio—Ryu Jun Yeol as Pastor Sung Min Chan, who claims divine guidance; Shin Hyun Bin as Detective Lee Yeon Hee, wrestling with her sister’s ghostly appearances; and Shin Min Jae as Kwon Yang Rae, an ex-convict suspected in the disappearance.

The launch trailer opens with a jarring phone call about a missing female middle school student from Pastor Sung’s congregation. After ex-convict Kwon visits the church, Pastor Sung receives what he believes is a divine message identifying Kwon as the perpetrator and begins tracking him. Meanwhile, Detective Lee, while investigating the disappearance, uncovers suspicious connections between Pastor Sung and Kwon. Her haunting line, “She says she waited for me to be rescued,” adds another layer of mystery about her sister who haunts her.
The trailer’s tagline, “With twisted faith, the madness begins,” sets up an intense pursuit among the three characters, promising a tension-filled narrative. Director Yeon’s trademark psychological depth and swift pacing suggest a genre-blending experience combining crime, mystery, and psychological thrills.
The powerhouse cast, featuring dramatic transformations from Ryu Jun Yeol, Shin Hyun Bin, and Shin Min Jae, aims to deliver a compelling ensemble performance for Netflix’s global audience.
