Ji Chang Wook revealed a more intimate side of himself in a newly released interview with Singles magazine’s editor-in-chief, marking his debut as the first cover star for Singles Japan.

During the lighthearted balance game segment, the actor entertained viewers with candid responses to quirky choices like “being lifelong friends with your ideal type vs. dating them for a year and breaking up” and “a door that never closes vs. a door that takes 30 minutes to open and close.”

When asked about what acting means to him, Ji didn’t hold back: “It’s my profession and my ambition, but also my headache.” He elaborated, “There has never been an easy moment in my work. Every project has always been difficult, a crisis, and a hurdle. That’s why I think acting is both my dream that I love and my constant source of concern.”

Responding to a question about his hidden charms, he revealed, “Though I might not look it, I’m diligent. I believed the only way to have longevity in this industry was through consistency—that might be my charm that no one knows about.”

In a reflective moment, when asked to compare his life to an autobiography and identify which page he’s currently on, Ji shared, “I’m about one-third of the way through. Looking at it numerically in this era where people live to 100, I think I’m exactly at one-third. I have expectations about what different kind of life might await me after this.”
