Drama Ranking for 1st Week of December

JTBC’s period drama The Tale of Lady Ok has claimed the top spot, with its leads Lim Ji Yeon and Choo Young Woo also securing first and second place in the cast rankings. Despite missing an episode last week, the drama saw increases in both buzz and viewership, highlighting its growing popularity. SBS’s The Fiery Priest 2 maintained its second-place position, even with a one-episode hiatus. However, the show continues to receive mixed reactions, with some viewers criticizing its exaggerated storyline and comedic elements as off-putting.

Netflix’s Squid Game 2, set to release on the 26th, ranked third. The reveal of Park Sung Hoon’s character as transgender sparked a global debate, with international viewers questioning, “Why cast a cisgender male actor to portray a transgender character?” Disney Plus debuted Light Shop at fifth place, receiving divided reactions. While some viewers described it as “slow-paced and dull,” others noted, “It gets interesting by the fourth episode.”
