On Wednesday, IU took to her YouTube channel to share her reflections after completing her successful world tour. The video, titled “How do I feel after wrapping up the final tour? Honestly,” offers a candid look into the singer’s emotional journey during her six-month tour.

After wrapping up her global journey from March to September, IU opened up about her inner struggles and feelings of doubt throughout the tour. “If anyone had the most doubts about this tour’s success, it was probably me,” she confessed. “There were nights when I was so anxious I couldn’t sleep before going on stage, and on some days, I even found myself praying for strength.”

Reflecting on her challenges, IU continued, “I was terrified every day that I might ruin the tour because I didn’t trust myself. There were times I was sick or didn’t feel well, and I was scared I might not be able to keep my promise to my fans.” Despite these fears, she added, “That’s why every performance felt so precious, and every single audience member was truly special. Without you, this final show wouldn’t have been as perfect as it was. Thanks to all of you, I could stand here today and feel truly happy.”

IU also expressed deep love and gratitude for her dedicated fans, acknowledging their unwavering support was key to her success.

Looking back on her journey, IU reflected on her world tour’s unexpected twists and turns. “Looking at it now, I feel like this tour was blessed with good fortune,” she mused. “All the worst-case scenarios I imagined did happen, but surprisingly, none of it dampened my spirits. I’ll remember this as nothing but a joyful journey and fulfilling experience.”

Philosophically, she added, “Isn’t that just how life goes? We spend so much time worrying about things that could go wrong, but when they actually happen, they don’t necessarily derail us.”

IU also shared her thoughts on the monumental milestone of becoming the first female K-pop soloist to perform in front of 100,000 fans at Seoul’s Sangam Stadium. Reflecting on this major achievement, she said, “This was my 100th concert. No matter if I collapsed, got sick, or anything else happened, I wasn’t going to feel it. I shut off my circuits. If you don’t feel it, it doesn’t hurt,” she said, recalling the determination and strength she relied on during that momentous show.
