SEVENTEEN’s Jeonghan and NCT’s Jaehyun are enlisting.
SEVENTEEN’s Jeonghan will be enlisting in the military on September 26th. After completing basic military training at a training camp, he will be serving as a public service worker. The exact time and location of his enlistment have not been disclosed. For safety reasons, Jeonghan will enter the training center privately, and no official events will be held.
Meanwhile, SM Entertainment confirmed to News1 on September 26th that NCT’s Jaehyun applied to the Army Band and received an acceptance notification from the Military Manpower Administration. They explained that he would enlist as an active-duty soldier on November 4th to fulfill his mandatory military service. The agency added that there will be no official events. “We ask for continued support and love for Jaehyun until the day he returns healthy after completing his military service,” they stated.
With Jeonghan’s enlistment, SEVENTEEN is beginning a hiatus as members prepare to enlist one by one. However, S.Coups has been exempted from active duty due to a knee injury, and Joshua is not required to serve since he is a Korean-American. SEVENTEEN will still release their 12th mini-album in October, featuring 11 members, excluding Jeonghan and Jun. Jun will be focusing on his acting career in China.
