Junho recently opened up about the chilling experiences he’s faced with overzealous fans showing up at his home. During his appearance on the YouTube show “Salon Drip 2” on September 24th, the 2PM member shared stories of sasaeng fans crossing the line.
When asked if he often invites people over to his home, Junho replied, “These days, I’m so busy and tired that my home feels like a precious place. I just want to spend time alone, so I don’t invite anyone over.”
Host Jang Do Yeon then jokingly referenced the lyrics of 2 PM’s hit song “My House,” saying, “In the song, you’re always inviting people to your house. Isn’t that a bit contradictory?” Junho laughed and responded, “Only I go to my house.”
The singer then revealed that the success of My House led to some uncomfortable situations. “The song became so popular, and I guess I said ‘Let’s go to my house’ so often. Some fans actually showed up at my place,” he explained. “One time, I heard footsteps at 3 AM. My doorbell was ringing, and I have two—one for the building entrance and one for my door. It was the one for my door that kept going off. I woke up scared and asked through the intercom, ‘Who is it?’ with a disguised voice. Some would casually reply, ‘Isn’t this Junho’s house?'”
Junho shared another unsettling moment: “I came home after work one day, and as the elevator doors were about to close, someone called out, ‘Oppa!’ It really startled me. But I kept my composure and asked, ‘Who are you?’ and they replied, ‘Oppa, it’s me!’ When I asked how they got there, they said, ‘I flew from another country because you told me to come to your house.'”
“I was really shocked,” Junho said, recalling the unnerving situation. “My manager handled the situation without it escalating. It just made me realize how powerful a song can be.”
Despite these incidents, Lee Junho also expressed his gratitude for his fans. He explained his nickname “Lee Fox,” saying, “‘My House’ was so loved that every time I appear on a show, I wear a red shirt, which is how I got the nickname.”
