BTS member Jin was challenged to work part-time at an internet cafe called “PC Bang” in Korea.
Surprising by the crew’s remarkable adaptability in completing his tasks, Jin joked, “Maybe I should have done something other than being a celebrity.”
BTS’s official YouTube channel released a video titled “Even Leaving The Military Wasn’t This Hard…” as part of a series called “Run, Seokjin.”
Known for his love of gaming, Jin was excited about the challenge at the internet cafe. “I felt happy about the news today. I hope the day won’t be filled with just me cooking ramen and delivering orders,” he shared.
Despite his wishes, Jin’s intuition was correct. As he started the challenge of the part-time job, he learned how to prepare key menu items, from ramen to drinks. “I hope unfamiliar faces come in. If people I know show up, it’ll not be very comfortable. What if members from Seventeen show up?” he added with a laugh.
Just as Jin finished speaking, a large group of over twenty elementary school students arrived, leaving him stunned. He exclaimed, “I didn’t think of this. I already want to go home. I completely forgot that internet cafes run like this!”
Jin then took on the role of serving drinks and handling the kids’ orders. When they urged him with phrases like, “Hurry up with the food!” and “I’m hungry!” he calmly reassured them, “It won’t come out faster just because you ask.”
Calling bets to leave early, he even played a game with the kids after serving them drinks, appearing completely worn out. He lamented, “I respect parents. What do you do when 20 kids swarm you? Teachers deserve respect, too; I thought my ears were bleeding!”
Despite his complaints, the internet cafe employee complimented him on his diligent work in cooking ramen and setting it up to serve the kids. “Maybe I should have done something other than being a celebrity,” he joked.
Having completed his part-time job, Jin cheerfully remarked, “I had so much fun filming ‘Run, Seokjin’ today. That’s a wrap!”
