The romantic comedy Dreams of You (working title) has officially started filming.

Directed by Kim Sung Hoon, Dreams of You stars Lee Kwang Soo as Kang Jun Woo, an actor dubbed “Asia Prince” with a massive fanbase across Asia. The film follows Jun Woo, who, while visiting Vietnam for a commercial shoot, unexpectedly finds himself penniless and alone. There, he meets Tao, a Vietnamese woman aspiring to be a barista, played by Hoang Ha. This encounter leads Jun Woo to experience a new world far removed from his glamorous life.

Lee Kwang Soo, who has a massive following across Asia, is set to take on the role of a cold and aloof world star, promising another transformative performance. On his role, Lee Kwang Soo shared, “I’ll be showing a new side of myself in this film. Expect a charming romantic comedy that everyone can relate to instead of a dreamy romance.”

Hoang Ha, an actress active in both Vietnamese films and dramas, makes her debut to Korean audiences as Tao. Adding to the cast, Um Moon Suk will bring a delightful synergy to the film with his role.

The film is directed by Kim Sung Hoon, known for his work on the hit movie Confidential Assignment and the drama Chief Detective 1958. Kim expressed his excitement, saying, “I’m thrilled to work with a great actor and person Lee Kwang Soo again after over a decade. This is a unique project, and I have high expectations thanks to the talented Korean and Vietnamese cast and crew.”

Dreams of You began its filming schedule in August, with shoots in both Vietnam and Korea. The film is set to premiere globally in the first half of 2025.
