Byeon Woo Seok‘s agency swiftly denied rumors of a romantic relationship following recent online speculation. On May 10th, Baro Entertainment clarified to Newsen, “The dating rumors are absolutely not true.”
Earlier in the day, online communities speculated about Byeon Woo Seok’s relationship status after noticing several photos taken in similar locations and poses alongside a freelance model. Adding to the speculation, the two are following each other on Instagram.
However, it turns out that the two are merely university friends and took the photos while hanging out with other friends. The agency stated, “It’s true they visited the location together, but they were with other friends,” emphasizing that the rumors were “groundless.” They even added that the rumored girlfriend “currently has a boyfriend.”
Meanwhile, Byeon Woo Seok is enjoying tremendous popularity following his role as Ryu Sun Jae in the tvN drama Lovely Runner. According to Good Data Corporation, a K-content online competitiveness analysis agency, Lovely Runner ranked first in TV-OTT drama buzz for the first week of May, with Byeon Woo Seok topping the cast rankings.
Riding high on his popularity, the actor is set to embark on his first Asian fan meeting tour, “2024 ByeonWooSeok Asia Fanmeeting Tour SUMMER LETTER,” starting in Taipei, Taiwan, in June. He will then head to Bangkok, Seoul, Hong Kong, and other Asian cities to meet global fans.
