Two films starring the late Lee Sun Kyun are expected to hit theaters this summer.
Lee Sun Kyun passed away in December 2023. Before his passing, he completed work on two films: Project Silence directed by Taegon Kim, and Land of Happiness directed by Choo Chang Min.
In March, NEW, the distributor of Land of Happiness, told Xports News, “We’re hoping to release it by the end of the year.” Meanwhile, CJ ENM, the distributor of Project: Silence, stated, “The film’s release date is still being determined, and we haven’t confirmed whether it will be out this year.“
While official release dates haven’t been solidified, the Hankook Ilbo reported on May 1st that Project Silence is eyeing a July premiere, with Land of Happiness potentially following in August.
