Hwang Minhyun will be enlisting in the military on March 21st, according to an exclusive report by Star News today. He’ll undergo basic training before serving his mandatory service.
Before heading off, Hwang Minhyun plans to stay connected with fans. He’ll be holding a fan meeting called “Oath of the Peach Garden” at the COEX Shinhan Card Atrium in Seoul from March 8th to 10th. He’ll also be treating fans to a first listen of his new song, “Lullaby.”
Hwang Minhyun’s career has been diverse. He debuted as a singer in 2012 as part of the group NU’EST. He then re-debuted in 2017 as a member of the project group WANNA ONE. After WANNA ONE concluded their activities in 2018, he continued with NU’EST and launched a solo career. He’s also made his mark as an actor, appearing in the musical Marie Antoinette and dramas Alchemy of Souls and My Lovely Liar.
Hwang Minhyun’s acting talents have been recognized with awards like the Potential Award and New Wave Award at the Asia Artist Awards (AAA) in 2021 and 2022, respectively. He even won the Best Acting Performance Award at the 2022 AAA, solidifying his position as a rising actor.
