MBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama, Wonderful World, dropped a story teaser on the 15th that has everyone talking. The teaser gives us a peek into the compelling relationship between Kim Nam Joo and Cha Eun Woo, setting the stage for what promises to be an enthralling narrative.

The teaser starts on a high note, showing Kim Nam Joo enjoying blissful days with her loving husband and son, while Cha Eun Woo appears to be living the life of a typical young man, hanging out with friends. However, the mood swiftly turns as we hear a young boy’s voiceover promising, “I’ll hold your hand. You can never let go. Never,” just before a shocking scene unfolds with Kim Nam Joo’s desperate cries as she lets go of a bloodied child’s hand.

This is followed by a poignant shot of Cha Eun Woo collapsing outside an operating room, intertwining the lives and wounds of these two seemingly different characters and sparking intrigue about their connection.

Adding to the mystery, a concerned Kim Nam Joo asks, “Aren’t you hurt?” to which Cha Eun Woo responds, “This doesn’t hurt at all. I wanted to do something for you. I’ve only ever received from you,” as they share a moment of intense gaze, hinting at a complex relationship.

Moreover, the teaser reveals Kim Nam Joo, who has lost her son, and Cha Eun Woo, who suddenly enters her life, sitting side by side, looking up at the stars in the night sky, suggesting a story of tragedy and the aftermath that left the viewers eagerly anticipating more.

Set to be one of the most awaited dramas of early 2024, Wonderful World will premiere on March 1st at 9:50 PM KST on MBC and will also be available on Disney Plus.
