Kang Kyung Joon is parting ways with his agency.
Kang Kyung Joon’s agency, KStar Global Entertainment, announced on January 8th, stating, “We tried to check the details of the article within our company, but since it’s about the actor’s personal life, there doesn’t seem to be any aspect the company needs to address.”
The company added, “Kang Kyung Jun’s exclusive contract with us expired in October of last year. We were in talks about extending the exclusive contract while he was fulfilling schedules for KBS2’s The Return of Superman. However, we have decided to suspend the discussion of extending the exclusive contract until the matter is resolved. We apologize for causing controversy with this incident.”
Earlier, the actor faced allegations of an extramarital affair with a non-celebrity woman. According to media reports, the star was sued for 50 million won ($38,131) in damages on December 26th last year for allegedly having an affair with a married woman.
Mr. A asserted, “Kang Kyung Joon destroyed our family by having an affair with my wife.” He added, “He was well aware of the fact that she was married when they had the affair,” explaining that both Kang Kyung Joon and the woman are currently working for the same real estate brokerage company, sharing the same floor of the same building.

Another media outlet shared a portion of the telegram messages exchanged between the two on January 8th between the two individuals involved in the alleged affair. The messages include “I want to hug you,” “I love you,” “I don’t want to drink with you – I just want to be with you,” and “I’m thinking about you.”
