All of Us Are Dead writer and Masquerade director will team up for a new series titled Takryu. The upcoming drama series will be available for streaming on Disney Plus, according to OSEN on December 19th.
Takryu tells the gripping tale of a gangster at the bustling Han River’s Mapo Port during the Joseon Dynasty as he eventually becomes a legend of the era.
Rowoon was reported to be joining the cast of the upcoming series, but the agency clarified that he has only received a role offer. Furthermore, reports are suggesting that Park Seoham might be joining the project, but his agency has not officially announced the decision yet.
Takryu is the first drama series directed by Choo Chang Min, the director of the 2012 movie Masquerade, which mobilized 12.32 million viewers. The script will be written by Chun Sung Il, the mastermind behind the 2010 drama The Slave Hunters and the 2022 Netflix series All of Us Are Dead.
Filming for Takryu will begin in February 2024
