Former T-ara member Areum just announced her divorce as well as plans for remarriage.

Areum took to her Instagram on December 10th to reveal, “I’ve found someone I want to spend the rest of my life with. I’m currently going through the divorce process, but we’ve made a promise to get married once everything gets settled.”

She continued, “He showed me what real happiness is when I was exhausted with many things, and he endured much more pain than I did. He is the only person who willingly came to me even in situations where they might get hurt. He is someone who fills the times of my painful dreams with hope and excitement and a person who took on a lot to make all my dreams come true. I met a truly special, precious person,” showing her deep affection for her new partner.

“I have lived in so much pain. Currently, I am considering settling instead of going to court due to the stress it’s causing me. However, even that is being delayed as it’s causing me so much pain. Nevertheless, I will not give up, and I will live my life joyfully with the support of my loved one,” she said.

Areum explained her decision to file for divorce, stating, “The meaning of ‘cheating’ is loving someone while loving another. I gave birth to my second child alone, and I’ve been suffering for a long time. I’ve been struggling for an extended period, thinking about my children, but now I plan to live life while enjoying it.”

Areum became a member of T-ara in 2012 but departed from the group a year later. She married a businessman two years older in 2019 and gave birth to their first son the following year. In July of the same year, the couple appeared on the show Caught Between Marriage & Divorce and welcomed their second son. However, after their appearance on the show, rumors of their divorce started circulating.
