RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook opened up about their upcoming military enlistment during the Weverse live broadcast on the 5th. The boys shared their feelings and thoughts as they prepared for this event.

V shared, “Absence makes the heart grow fonder.” He added, “I’m excited. I might meet younger friends in the military, but I look forward to learning something new through them.” V pleasantly surprised fans with his new haircut and maintained a cheerful attitude, reassuring fans who were concerned.
He also revealed that he had applied for SDT(SDT·Special Duty Team), stating, “I just wanted to face this challenge head-on. Don’t worry,” and assured fans, “I know how to take care of myself. I’ll return healthy and unharmed.” This was followed by a light-hearted moment when RM joked about gaining weight in the military, to which V responded, “I’m currently 62kg, but I’ll gain weight up to just 86kg,” eliciting laughter as RM promised fans he would prevent it anyhow.
Jungkook, who decided to enlist at the young age of 26, explained, “I want to see the complete BTS as soon as possible. It feels relieving, like I’m putting my all out there and everything in order before going. There are no regrets.”
Jimin, on the other hand, mentioned he would not share photos of his military haircut before his enlistment, saying, “I’ll enlist quietly and come back quietly. I don’t want to show the fans that side of me.”
RM then requested fans to avoid visiting the training center on their enlistment day, considering the inconvenience it could cause to other soldiers and their families. He said, “Please refrain from coming to the training center on the day of enlistment,” and added, “When we return, we’ll have a lot of stories to tell and energy to give back as BTS. Look forward to our true second chapter.”
Meanwhile, RM and V will start their service on December 11th, while Jimin and Jungkook will enlist together on December 12th.
