Song Kang Talks About Getting Naked for ‘Sweet Home 2’ and His Upcoming Enlistment

Song Kang shared his thoughts on his upcoming enlistment and the buzz-worthy naked scene from Sweet Home Season 2.

Song Kang made headlines for going shirtless in the second season of Sweet Home. Regarding the nude scene in the show, he explained, “I had an extensive discussion with the director about that particular scene. Dr. Lim (played by Oh Jung Se) studies Hyun Su, so I had to take the shirt off for the examination scenes.” He revealed, “There were no CGI effects added in the blood bath scene, so it was all shot in one take. I think I got more courageous after filming the nude scene.”

When asked about the efforts he put into the role, he shared, “Even though Hyun Soo transforms back into a human, he is still a monster-human. To better capture the muscle movements of this half-monster, half-human character, I gained 10 kilograms (20 pounds).”

Regarding his impending military enlistment, he stated, “There should be no exception, of course.” He then discussed things he’s anticipating about the upcoming military life, saying, “I heard that CBR training is the toughest one, so I’m like, ‘How hard will it be?’ I’m curious to experience it firsthand.”

Closing out the interview, he revealed his wish to play either a villain or a soldier role in his next project after military discharge. “I’m thinking about trying out a bad guy or soldier role after the military discharge. Sounds interesting, and I’m up for the challenge,” he shared.
